Amy Kellam is an Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, London, and a member of the Centre for Law in Asia, SOAS, University of London. She is Co-Editor of Amicus Curiae – The Journal of the Society of Advanced Legal Studies. Her research focuses on comparative public international law and the history of international law and colonialism. She is a participant in BLACKBOX, a “no‑rights” decentralised organisation whose experimental governance model serves as a heuristic site for the commons jurisprudence developed in this book. She is also an author of fiction and a current Listee in the 2026 McKitterick Award for her debut novel.
